Technical Systems Engineer (Data ML Focus / Consultant Hybrid) to $2200
We are looking for a highly qualified engineer working at the intersection of data science, machine learning, applied mathematics, and engineering. A technical problem solver who can turn complex real-world operational problems into data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand business needs and turn them into clear technical tasks
- Lead technical conversations with clients and engineering teams.
- Build small proof-of-concepts to test ideas and show progress
- Create custom integrations and data pipelines
- Work with simulation, optimisation, or ML components when needed
- Support moving solutions into production
- Coordinate between engineering, modelling, and operations teams
Bring clarity and structure to fast-moving projects
Requirements
- Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience in data science, machine learning, modelling, analytics, simulation, optimisation, or applied mathematics
- Solid Python skills (no JavaScript)
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to switch between technical and business perspectives
- Comfortable working independently in fast-changing and uncertain environments
- High ownership, curiosity, and self-motivation
- Fluent English (B2+)
Working conditions:
- Remote role
- Full-time
- Work schedule: 5 days a week, Saturday and Sunday โ days off
