SAP basis administrator

Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ECC, and S/4HANA, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively optimize SAP applications and databases to ensure optimal resource utilization and reliability.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance activities, including backups, patching, and system refreshes, to maintain system integrity and availability.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex SAP Basis issues, coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and document system procedures, operational guidelines, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP project implementations, enhancements, and integrations with other systems.

     

Required and Preferred Qualifications

 

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with a strong focus on HANA and S/4HANA environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP architecture and components, including transport management, client administration, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in managing SAP systems on both Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Solid experience with SAP BTP, including SAP Workzone, SAP Integration Suite, SAP IPS, Cloud Identity
  • Great English communication skills

 

Preferred:

  • Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions and working with cloud environments  AWS and etc
  • In-depth knowledge of SSO technologies
  • Familiarity with SAP BO and Data Services
  • Proficiency with Linux and Linux Clusters

 

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools such as SAP EarlyWatch or third-party monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of system security best practices, including user management and role-based access control.
