🔹About the project

 Backbase is a Dutch banking software and financial technology company that provides a banking infrastructure software platform that it calls engagement banking. The system is used by financial institutions globally, from large banks to credit unions and community banks.

🔹Responsibilities

You will work either with customers directly or with our partners, supporting them in implementing mobile solutions. Not one implementation is the same as another. Your tailor-made code seamlessly integrates our products with customers’ systems. You build apps mainly using native technology, but also work on hybrid mobile apps.

🔹Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining complex Android applications in production environments. 
• Experience in the banking or financial domain is a strong plus. 
• Skilled at translating high-level business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions. 
• Strong engineering mindset and follow modern Agile practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle. 
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) are part of your core workflow, ideally using tools like Bitrise or GitHub Actions. 
• Mobile development expert who’s always ready to share best practices and lead by example — not just follow them. 
• Strong technical expertise in Android architecture patterns such as MVI or MVVM. 
• Experience with Jetpack Compose (at least on pet projects) and understanding of its role in modern Android UI development. 
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, especially Coroutines and Flows, and how to use them effectively in real-world applications. 
• Solid grasp of Dependency Injection, with hands-on experience using frameworks like Koin (or similar). 
• Strong understanding of Android security best practices, including SSL Pinning, secure data storage, encryption, etc.

🔹A few more important things

• We consider candidates who have at least an Upper-intermediate level of English, as one of the interview stages will be conducted in English.

• We work in a hybrid setup, so we prioritise candidates who are based in Kyiv or Lviv and can visit our office on their first working day.
