Senior Backend Engineer (PHP) - with frontend expertise

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services in PHP.
• Design and optimize internal APIs and microservices.
• Work with Postgres, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Integrate with third-party services (AWS, Stripe, SSO providers).
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of backend components.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and the product team.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of PHP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of modern PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, or equivalents).
•  (We use an enterprise-grade PHP framework, but experience with any modern framework is sufficient.)
• Hands-on experience with Postgres and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Redis.
• Solid understanding of REST, microservices, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex features.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cybersecurity, SIEM systems, or high-load data systems.
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries.

Bonus Frontend Skills (highly valued)

• Experience with React + TypeScript.
• Ability to build or adjust UI components for internal tooling.
• Understanding of modern frontend architecture and state management.
• Experience troubleshooting frontend–backend integration issues.
