Lead / Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to take on complex challenges related to building and managing distributed infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.

Strong hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools is essential for this role. This is a remote position available on either a full-time or project basis.

You will play a critical role in R&D and prototyping new architecture approaches at the initial stage, and later in delivering production-ready infrastructure for a well-established U.S.-based company specializing in geolocation data and IP intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D and participate in key architectural decision-making
• Analyze risks and create contingency plans for potential technical challenges
• Lead and mentor the DevOps team
• Collaborate within an Agile environment to prototype and benchmark new architectures
• Assist with planning and task prioritization
• Design and implement infrastructure components to ensure seamless product performance
• Support development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance data platforms and APIs
• Develop and enhance new and existing infrastructure solutions
• Review infrastructure-related code to improve performance and maintain high quality
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and processes

• Communicate daily with a U.S.-based client

   

Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial DevOps experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt
• 4+ years of experience with AWS & GCP
• 3+ years of commercial experience configuring Kubernetes and Docker
• Professional experience configuring Bitbucket Pipelines
• Experience working with Helm charts
• 1+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MySQL)
• Experience with AWS EKS/ECS and cloud-native deployments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High standards for code quality, maintainability, testing, and scalability
• Solid understanding of Git workflows, code reviews, and pull/merge request processes
