Sr SRE (DevOps) Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient SRE (Site reliability engineer) with a solid understanding of DevOps principles, cloud infrastructure, and operations. The successful candidate will be crucial in supporting and maintaining our cloud-native systems and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our infrastructure residing on EKS clusters.  

Time zone the candidate works in - IST (Indian Standard Time) time zone.

Key Responsibilities  

• Monitor and support our cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing AWS and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).  
• Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure as code using Terraform.  
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, leveraging tools such as Github actions, and Docker.  
• Respond promptly and efficiently to incidents, service disruptions, and change requests.  
• Collaborate closely with the DevOps and development teams to implement infrastructure best practices and ensure operational excellence.  
• Develop and maintain scripts (Python/Shell) to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency.  
• Maintain clear and effective communication across teams and during incident resolution. 
• Adhere to established processes and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement efforts.  

Must have Qualifications  

• B-Tech in CS from Premier Institute like IIIT, NIT, BITS, Thapar etc or Global Institutes.  
• Previous experience in real-time transaction systems, fintech, or high-performance applications.  
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput, low-latency applications.  

Qualifications 

• 5-6 years of experience in SRE/DevOps roles  
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, AWS (priority technologies)  
• Experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, tempo  
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)  
• Strong Linux administration and networking skills  
• Experience with incident response and troubleshooting  
• Knowledge of logging systems (ELK stack, Fluentd, Loki)  
• Database administration experience  
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash or Go)  
• Understanding of microservices architecture  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation  

Desirable Qualifications  

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)  
• Knowledge of chaos engineering tools  
• Multi-cloud experience  
• Security scanning and compliance knowledge  
• Performance testing tools experience  
• GitOps workflows experience  
• Serverless technologies knowledge Certification Requirements  
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) - Preferred  
• Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) - Preferred
