Senior/Staff Python Backend Engineer to $8500

Wallchain has been growing rapidly since late February 2025, with over 250,000 Tier 1 influencers on Crypto Twitter now onboarded. What’s driving it? Organic momentum - fueled by users inviting each other and strong word of mouth. We’re now expanding the growth team to sustain and scale this momentum even further.

Wallchain is a two-sided marketplace for brands and influential people. Anyone can post about a brand, and our AI algorithm will automatically evaluate how impactful and valuable that content was for the brand. As a result, influential people can earn faster and more from their content - without relying on marketing middlemen, agencies, deal-making, or red tape.

With incoming data inflow of ~1 Billion tweets per month and peak load of ~1000 RPS, we’re looking for a Senior/Staff Python Backend Engineer to build quick, performant, reliable systems. You’ll have the opportunity to bring the impact, write great code, learn from the best, ilke-minded people, share knowledge and experience, and delight users with stability together with Frontend, Product, and AI teams.

Requirements

• Python, SOLID, Design Patterns - absolutely essential and high proficiency required
• 7+ years of experience in Backend. At least 3 years of experience as Senior Engineer.
• Ability to write well-structured, testable code with thoughtful abstractions and interfaces.
• High proficiency of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Clear communication, self-organization skills, desire for ownership over significant part of Backend.
• English: good enough to read and write code documentation
• Basic DevOps and Kubernetes, proficiency with Docker and Linux.
• Nice to have: experience building data pipelines
