Software Developer in Test

Location: Hybrid — Kraków, Poland (office presence 3 times per week)
Project duration: 12 months (possible extension)

About the Project

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer in Test to join a project in the banking and finance domain. The ideal candidate is a Java Developer with strong experience in test automation, deep knowledge of Java, Cucumber, Python, and SQL.

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in software testing and automation framework development
• Solid background in Java and Python programming
• Proven experience working within Agile development environments

Technical Requirements

Required:

• Test Automation

• CI/CD (GitLab or Jenkins)
• Oracle (PL/SQL, packages, procedures, SQL queries)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks to support digital solutions for internal and client needs
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and domain experts across global teams
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, feature development, automated testing, and deployment
• Ensure system quality, security, and reliability by following best engineering and testing practices
• Embed observability into systems, monitor production environments, and manage incident resolution with root-cause analysis
• Represent the client’s perspective and ensure their needs are reflected in delivered solutions
• Share knowledge and actively participate in building a strong engineering culture

Location & Work Setup

• Hybrid work model (3 days per week in the Kraków office)
• Timezone: GMT+1 (Central European Time)

• Fluent English (both written and spoken)
