About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead a Proof of Concept (POC) focused on Apache Iceberg integration within a large-scale AI and data platform.
This is a hands-on, short-term role that requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive the POC independently from concept to delivery.

Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Java, Python, AWS (S3, Glue, S3 Tables, Athena), MySQL, SingleStore, Spark, Kafka

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• Strong expertise with Apache Iceberg and Parquet.
• Proficiency in Java; good working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with AWS (S3, Glue, S3 Tables, Athena).
• Familiarity with MySQL; experience with SingleStore is a strong plus.
• Understanding of Spark; experience with Kafka is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
