Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator to maintain and enhance our technical infrastructure in a dynamic, regulated healthcare setting. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, security awareness, and operational discipline. The successful candidate will ensure that all systems—hardware, software, and networks—are functioning efficiently and securely to support critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Support
- Manage the full IT lifecycle for new and departing employees, including device setup, account provisioning, and access management.
- Provide remote and on-site support to staff located in multiple U.S. offices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and software issues promptly.
- Maintain shared devices such as printers, conferencing tools, and remote access solutions.
Systems Administration
- Oversee user management, permissions, and system configurations across Google Workspace and healthcare-related applications.
- Maintain an accurate asset inventory and ensure timely renewal of licenses and subscriptions.
- Support security systems and building access controls, coordinating with vendors when required.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and escalate complex issues to appropriate partners.
Security & Compliance
- Contribute to IT governance initiatives aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO standards.
- Administer endpoint protection, antivirus, and system patch management.
- Track and report on security incidents and assist in risk mitigation activities.
- Coordinate cybersecurity awareness programs and employee training.
- Maintain audit documentation and compliance logs related to IT operations.
Infrastructure & Connectivity
- Support LAN/WAN stability, VPN configuration, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Assist in the management of firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Collaborate on cloud integration projects and system optimizations.
IT Governance & Documentation
- Develop and maintain clear internal documentation for IT policies and procedures.
- Participate in backup, recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors for service escalations and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT administration or support, ideally within a regulated or healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals, security protocols, and cloud-based systems.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and endpoint management tools.
- Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA or SOC 2 compliance is an asset.
