Edifecs EDI Developer (Middle / Senior) to $8000

We’re seeking an experienced Edifecs EDI Developer to join a healthcare technology team that works with large-scale health plan systems.

You’ll design, develop, and maintain complex EDI workflows using Edifecs tools, SQL, and related Microsoft technologies.
We’re seeking proactive engineers who can think analytically, communicate clearly, and collaborate in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
 

🧠 Key Responsibilities
 

• Develop and maintain EDI processes and workflows using Edifecs (Architecture, SpecBuilder, EAM, TPM, Transaction Management).
• Work with EDI transaction sets — primarily 837, plus 834, 835, and others (274, 270/271).
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into efficient EDI solutions.
• Support and optimise integrations with healthcare core systems (eligibility, claims, authorisations, case management).
• Lead or contribute to Agile “What” and “How” sessions, defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor junior developers, prepare documentation, and conduct peer reviews.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, create stored procedures, and manage SSIS/SSRS reporting.
   

🧩 Must-Have Experience
 

• 3–7 years of recent Edifecs solution development in a health plan/healthcare setting.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Edifecs modules – Architecture, SpecBuilder, Enterprise Application Manager, TPM, Transaction Management
  • EDI transaction sets: 837 (required), plus 834/835 and others
  • SQL – complex queries and stored procedures
  • SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint, Visio, TFS
• Strong understanding of ANSI X12, HL7, NCPDP, and healthcare data formats.
• Proven experience working within Agile / Scrum teams.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
• Self-starter mindset — able to identify, analyze, and solve problems without needing step-by-step direction.
   

✅ Nice-to-Have
 

• Experience with QNXT, QNXT EDI Manager, or QNXT Connect (BizTalk).
• Familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools.
• Background in healthcare data analysis or claims systems.
   

🎓 Background
 

• 8+ years total IT experience (for Senior level); 4+ years (for Middle level).
• Experience in structured IT organisations with formal SDLC processes.
