Senior Front-end Engineer – React (cyber-security startup)

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (React) to join the core engineering team of our new cyber security startup.
 

This is a true zero-to-one role: You’ll own the entire frontend architecture, design and build the first version of our customer-facing app, and help define how identity-focused cybersecurity tools should feel and perform in the hands of users.

What You’ll Do:
 

• Own the Frontend: Architect, build, and deliver our first production frontend application—built with React (Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and other modern tools).
  
   
• Shape the User Experience: Work closely with product and design teams to craft intuitive, fast, and beautiful user interfaces for security and identity workflows.
  
   
• Technical Decision-Making: Choose the right tooling, component libraries, state management patterns, and frontend infrastructure that will scale with us.
  
   
• Full Development Cycle: Be involved in everything—from design reviews and frontend architecture to production deployment and monitoring.
  
   
• Collaborate as a Partner: Work closely with backend engineers, AI/LLM engineers, and security experts to deliver end-to-end customer value.
  
   
• Prototype Quickly: Build fast, learn from feedback, iterate, and improve. Expect tight feedback loops with internal users and design partners.
  
   
• Set the Standard: Establish frontend best practices, coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines for future engineers.
   

What You Should Bring:
 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building modern web applications.
  
   
• Expert knowledge of React (Next.js preferred), TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
  
   
• Strong attention to UI/UX details—you care about clean design, pixel-perfect execution, and smooth user interactions.
  
   
• Experience designing and building frontend architecture from scratch in fast-moving environments.
  
   
• Ability to work independently with high ownership and end-to-end thinking.
  
   
• A startup mindset: bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  
   
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a flat, small-team structure.
  
   

Bonus Points For:

• Experience working on security, SaaS, or data-intensive products.
  
   
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and scalable frontend patterns.
  
   
• Experience setting up frontend observability (performance monitoring, error tracking).
