DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our core team and work on a technically challenging project in the cybersecurity domain. 

Our client is a well-funded startup ($24+M raised) building a cutting-edge application detection & response platform. Using OpenTelemetry and trace analytics, their solution enables enterprises to stop attacks with in-application context into all runtime transactions and behaviors. The company’s mission is to revolutionize application security with real-time anomaly detection and monitoring, automated incident response and rich context.

Our ideal candidate is an independent DevOps/SRE engineer who has worked with a variety of technologies and can quickly navigate their way around new stacks and complex problems.

Required skill-set & experience

- Proven track record as a DevOps engineer (5+ years of production hands-on experience), fluent in industry trends & best practices 

- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS and its services

- Infrastructure-as-code experience with tools like Terraform and Terragrunt

- Well-versed in Kubernetes and Helm

- Experience with ArgoCD

- Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ or other alternatives

- Solid understanding of networking: subnetting, HTTP, DNS, TLS, OSI Model

- A consulting mindset, ability to weigh and present pros/cons of various solutions

- Upper-intermediate+ level of English

Bonus points

- Experience in managing databases, such as Cassandra, Clickhouse, OpenSearch

- Experience with monitoring and observability frameworks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)

- Experience with OpenTelemetry 

- AWS, CKA or other cloud certifications

- You’re a contributor to open-source software, or run your own projects
