QA Engineer
We’re looking for a QA Engineer (part-time) to join our team and ensure the quality of an AI-powered poker training platform, testing new features, APIs, and integrations while collaborating closely with developers and business analysts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality of delivered features before merging with main branches.
- Perform manual testing of REST APIs and integrations with 3rd-party services.
- Reproduce and document bugs, validate fixes, and communicate findings to developers.
- Maintain and execute Postman-based API test scripts.
- Set up local testing environments using Docker.
- Participate in weekly English-speaking sync calls (Pacific Time, Mondays 21:00 Kyiv time).
- Report QA status, test coverage, and potential risks during team meetings.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and identify edge cases.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years in QA for web-based or backend-focused projects.
- Technical skills:
- REST API testing, Postman / similar tools
- Git (branch switching, reviewing changes)
- Docker basic usage for local setup
- Languages: English B2 level (sufficient for weekly calls), fluent in Ukrainian or Russian.
- Domain knowledge: Understanding of poker rules is a big plus (not required to be a pro).
Soft skills:
- Detail-oriented and proactive — able to suggest improvements, not just report issues.
- Responsible and communicative — can clearly explain findings and reasoning.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Conditions
- Workload: ~20 hours/week.
- Schedule: Flexible, asynchronous communication via Slack (response time ≤4h).
- Time zone alignment: Must attend 1 weekly meeting (Monday, 21:00 Kyiv / 11:00 PST).
- Team language: Ukrainian (English used for reporting).
- Format: Remote, part-time contract.
