Software Engineer in Test

In a partnership with one of the global consulting enterprises, we are looking for a Software Engineer in Test specializing in Android or IOS applications to join our Account Mobile QA team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of our mobile products. This role requires strong Kotlin or Swift skills, hands-on mobile testing experience, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with developers, product owners, and UX teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, communicate, and implement effective test approaches.
• Review and understand functional requirements, raising valid questions and risks early.
• Collaborate closely with developers and QA engineers to ensure products meet specifications and quality goals.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks to validate both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Troubleshoot, reproduce, and verify reported defects, identifying root causes and providing detailed feedback.
• Produce clear, concise reports that demonstrate test coverage and product quality.
• Communicate testing status, progress, and risks to stakeholders.
• Follow QA best practices and contribute to process improvement within the team.

Essential Skills and Experience for Android:

• 2+ years of experience testing native Android applications.
• Strong coding skills in Kotlin (Java experience is a plus).
• Hands-on experience writing automated tests with Espresso or similar Android testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of mobile testing practices, SDLC, and agile methodologies.
• Proven collaboration with developers, UX designers, and product owners to deliver high-quality mobile apps.
• Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills.
• Experience planning, executing, and reporting test strategies in agile, cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills and Experience for IOS:

2+ years of experience testing native iOS applications.

Proficiency in Swift and experience writing tests with XCUITest or equivalent frameworks.

Good understanding of iOS app architecture, SDLC, and mobile testing methodologies.

Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with engineers, designers, and product owners.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams, contributing to sprint planning and delivery.
