Middle QA Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the DashDevs QA team and contribute to the development of a next-generation fintech platform. The role covers API testing with Postman, structured test documentation in Zephyr, validation of data consistency through interaction with databases and full-cycle testing of client applications including native iOS, Android and React-based back-office tools. The QA engineer will take part in the entire quality assurance process from requirements analysis and test planning to execution, reporting and final acceptance, ensuring product quality in an Open Banking context.
 

Project description: 
We’re developing a next-generation fintech platform that powers real-time bank payments and open banking experiences across the UAE. The system is built in alignment with the UAE Central Bank’s Open Finance regulations and will serve as a trusted gateway for secure account-to-account payments, consent management, and financial data access. It integrates directly with national banking infrastructure to enable seamless user authentication, transaction authorization, and compliance tracking. Designed as a white-labeled solution, the platform will be adopted by banks, fintechs, and merchants looking to offer regulated open banking services under their own brand. The project combines technical complexity, regulatory collaboration, and strong product vision – creating a rare opportunity to help shape a core layer of the region’s evolving digital finance ecosystem.

YOUR BACKGROUND
 

• 4+ years of commercial experience testing web and mobile applications
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and SDLC practices
• Hands-on experience in REST API testing with Postman (advanced scripting, collections, environments)
• Proven experience in writing and maintaining structured test documentation (Zephyr or similar)
• Understanding of client-server and microservices architectures
• Basic knowledge of SQL and working with databases
• Experience with GitHub
• English level - B1+
   

Skills that will be a plus:

• Experience with programming languages JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation or scripting
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki
• Experience in fintech or other compliance-heavy domains
• Experience in performance and load testing, preferably using k6 or JMeter
   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform functional, regression, integration, acceptance, and E2E testing of web/mobile applications
• Execute API testing using Postman, including scenario scripting for complex workflows
• Validate UI/UX for web (React) and native mobile (iOS/Android) apps
• Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists, test plans, bug reports, test reports)
• Analyse feature requirements, participate in grooming sessions, and ensure test coverage before development starts
• Take ownership of QA deliverables within a sprint
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Contribute to QA process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team
