Senior Go and Python Engineer

Engagement: 3 months (PoC phase) with possible extension

About the Project

We have received a new request for a Senior Go + Python Engineer (approx. 80% Go / 20% Python) to join the client’s team for the initial Proof of Concept (PoC) development phase. The engagement is planned for 3 months with the potential for extension.

The client is a California-based company, so the working hours are partially shifted toward the second half of the day:

• Daily meetings at 19:00 (Kyiv time)
• Team meetings twice a week, which can last up to 22:00 (Kyiv time)

Must Haves

• Strong proficiency in Go and Python
• Experience with TypeScript and SQL
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with Google Suite (Firestore, BigQuery, CloudRun)
• Experience with Pulumi (Infrastructure as Code)

Nice to Haves
 

• Experience with image processing
• Familiarity with object detection models
   

Example Tasks

• Develop a sessions API to support the mobile app’s scanning workflow
• Add Swagger/OpenAPI documentation to existing Go-based APIs
• Implement pagination for existing APIs to improve performance and scalability
• Configure TTL policies for database entries and Google Cloud Storage objects using Pulumi (IaC)
