Senior Elixir Engineer

About the Project
We are collaborating with an AI-powered productivity platform that helps people automate repetitive tasks and workflows. The product has been live since 2023, is growing rapidly after reaching profitability, and recently secured a $20M Series A to fuel expansion.

Responsibilities

• Implement scaling of the case detection process (scanner)
• Split API into multiple services
• Emulate pub/sub and cloud run locally
• Contribute to building and maintaining production systems
• Collaborate with distributed team members across time zones
• Ensure clear, respectful communication and disciplined problem-solving
   

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 1+ year of experience with Elixir in production (recent experience)
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining production systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic product sense
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (sufficient for technical interviews)
• Ability to work independently in a remote, async-first environment
   

Nice to have

• Phoenix LiveView in production
• PostgreSQL performance tuning and observability experience
• Infrastructure familiarity (GCP, K8s, Terraform) and CI/CD knowledge
• Security, reliability, and testing discipline
