Junior Strong Manual QA Engineer
We are looking for a proactive and self-driven Junior Strong Manual QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on different types of projects and technology stacks and is passionate about ensuring the highest product quality.
You will collaborate closely with developers and clients to create seamless and positive user experiences in the solutions we build for our clients. π
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Perform thorough testing of web applications, including UI/UX, functional, and cross-browser testing;
β’ Design and execute comprehensive test cases for complex backend logic, REST APIs, and database operations;
β’ Work extensively with various data stores (SQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, and NoSQL) to ensure data integrity, validate data transformations, and perform complex queries for testing purposes;
β’ Take responsibility for ensuring high-quality deliverables within assigned projects;
β’ Write clear and detailed bug reports, perform root cause analysis by investigating logs, and trace issues across different system layers;
β’ Work with the development team and clients to clarify requirements, discuss testing strategies, and report on results;
β’ Actively participate in the development lifecycle (planning sessions, daily syncs, retrospectives).
Requirements:
β’ 1+ years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer;
β’ Strong practical experience in API testing (REST) and a deep understanding of its principles;
β’ Advanced proficiency with Postman, including creating and managing complex collections, using variables, and writing test scripts (JavaScript);
β’ Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred) with the ability to write complex queries for data validation and manipulation;
β’ Experience with browser DevTools and web debugging proxies (e.g., Charles, Fiddler);
β’ Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript;
β’ Confident written and spoken English (B2 level or above);
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently and handle multiple priorities.
Would be a plus:
β’ Experience with test automation using frameworks like Cypress or Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript;
β’ Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6) and analyzing metrics (e.g., Grafana, AWS services);
β’ Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for test data generation or task automation;
β’ Basic knowledge of web security testing principles and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP).
