Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to lead quality assurance for our web-based products within the delivery pipeline. In this role, you will design test strategies, define quality standards, and execute testing to ensure the highest product quality. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise at scale and build a QA function from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Create test strategies for products and complex features
- Define requirements for test environments, test data, resources, and tools
- Define areas suitable for test automation and collaborate with SDETs and developers to implement it
- Create, estimate, prioritize, and execute test plans and test cases
- Own feature and release sign-off from the QA side
- Own reporting of test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with QA processes, standards, and best practices
- Perform exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing as needed
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Drive continuous improvements in QA processes and tooling
Experience and skills
- 5 years of experience in QA across web-based applications
- Testing expertise: functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, sanity, UAT
- API testing: experienced in testing REST-based APIs (including validation of request/response, error handling, data flows)
- UI testing: ensuring quality of React-based frontends across multiple browsers and devices
- Non-functional testing: performance, usability, and security basics
- Automation: solid understanding of automation principles; collaborating with SDETs to define and maintain automation coverage; hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright
- CI/CD: integrating testing into delivery pipelines, experience with Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions
- Agile delivery: working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban, active participation in grooming, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Technical skills: programming skill in Java/TS/Python, Linux (confident command-line user), SQL, Docker familiarity
- Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Xray, TestRail
- Soft skills: clear technical documentation, strong teamwork and self-management, ability to work autonomously, mentoring peers, effective communication with ability to influence technical discussions
- Mindset: curiosity to learn new technologies and contribute to improving QA and engineering practices
