We are seeking a pragmatic Platform Engineer to join our client’s engineering team and help design and deliver Kubernetes-native solutions with a strong focus on reliability, simplicity, and developer experience.

The client is a European technology company working on cloud infrastructure products. Their mission is to help enterprises gain more control over their data and infrastructure by providing secure, reliable, and compliance-ready alternatives to traditional hyperscaler environments. The role involves building Kubernetes-native components and platform tools that enable enterprise customers to operate in highly regulated industries while meeting strict standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and DORA.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 2+ years hands-on with Go (Golang) (concurrency, interfaces, tooling)
  • Hands-on Kubernetes: API machinery, CRDs, informers, RBAC, Services/Networking.
  • Experience building operators/controllers with controller-runtime (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux services and debugging in containerized environments
  • Solid testing discipline (unit, property/fuzz preferred) and debugging
  • Observability mindset: experience with Prometheus, Grafana
  • Strong Git workflow, code review practices, and GitOps habits
  • Upper-Intermediate English and higher

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking (CNI, eBPF basics, TCP/IP, NAT, VPN/WireGuard)
  • Familiarity with admission webhooks, mutating/validating pipelines
  • Exposure to Helm, Argo CD, Flux and GitOps workflows
  • Security-minded engineering: container hardening, image signing/SBOM
  • Understanding of compliance expectations (GDPR, ISO 27001, DORA)

Responsibilities:

  • Design and ship Kubernetes-native components: controllers, operators, admission webhooks
  • Build safe reconcilers with health-gated rollouts, idempotent updates, and clear status/metrics
  • Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release engineering
  • Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams to turn requirements into clean APIs and production-ready code
  • Ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and maintainable for EU-based enterprise deployments
  • Write high-quality documentation and provide examples for both users and internal teams

We offer:

  • Vacation (up to 20 working days)
  • Paid sick leaves (10 working days)
  • National Holidays as paid time off (11 days)
  • Online English courses
  • Accountant assistance and legal support
  • Flexible working schedule, remote, office-based or hybrid format
  • Direct cooperation with the customer
  • Challenging projects in diverse business domains and a variety of tech stacks
  • Online/offline teambuildings
  • Volunteering culture development and support
