Firmware Engineer

Infineon’s Power System IC (PSI) Software Development team is seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the development and validation of embedded firmware for advanced DC/DC power conversion ICs.

Job description

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for power IC applications using C
• Assist with the implementation of real-time control and configuration firmware, and in debugging and validating firmware with mixed-signal hardware in a lab environment
• Support firmware development for peripherals such as ADCs, DACs, and communication interfaces
• Work with serial communication protocols including I2C and PMBus
• Collaborate with senior firmware, hardware, and software engineers
• Create and update firmware documentation, including feature descriptions and user guides
• Participate in code reviews and follow established firmware development best practices

Your profile

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Up to 2 years of experience in embedded firmware development, including internships or academic projects
• Experience in DC-DC power conversion systems, with basic understanding of mixed-signal systems (good to have)
• Basic proficiency in C programming for embedded systems
• Familiarity with embedded system concepts and MCU architecture
• Basic understanding of serial communication protocols such as I2C, UART, or PMBus
