As part of a global team, we are responsible for developing and supporting features within our On Call mobile app

We are a department within a well-known global car brand's Consumer and Enterprise Digital group. Together with global colleagues, we oversee the development of our Connected Car solutions and products for the North American Market. As part of a global team, we are responsible for developing and supporting features within our On Call mobile app for use in our market. We develop on global cloud platforms and integrate services that provide telematics, infotainment services, and value to connected cars. All development is done using Agile/DevOps best practices in a human-centric mindset.

This project is to implement globally created functionality for booking vehicle service, updates, notifications & confirmation of service inside the mobile application.

Lead Full-Stack Engineer will develop and maintain domestically created (localized) functionality within a globally developed mobile application. Acting as a technical SME, the primary focus will be the development and implementation of back-end services to be used by our Mobile app. Provide technical expertise and guidance to peer engineers and developers globally. Working across different organizational layers, including the business & global R&D teams, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Tasks and Deliverables
• Design and implement backend systems to support locally developed features and functionality within our Mobile app.
• Ensure our services function in a distributed HA system & can scale.
• Develop services with attention to metrics & performance monitoring.
• Develop technical SLA’s for vendors and other resources.
• Assist peer engineers with technical issues as they arise.
• Willingness to participate in various “full-stack” development tasks as needed to meet new or accelerated timelines.

Required Experience
Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot

Operational Tools: GIT/SVN, Jira, Confluence.
