Devops Engineer to $6000
"We need a devops engineer, preferably on-call, to manage our production infrastructure and expand our non-production infrastructure to be more systemized, performant and efficient. We use bare-metal linux servers in EU for compute heavy tasks and AWS Instances for low-level backend tasks around the world. All of this has to be managed systematically with strong logging and monitoring for compliance."
The Role
Weβre seeking a highly experienced Devops expert to manage and optimize our production infrastructure, optimizing for maximum uptime and working with the engineering team to minimize bugs.
In this role, you will:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to reduce manual effort.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS + Bare metal servers)
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and alerting.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth integration of new features into production.
- Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Write incident reports to educate the team.
Stay up to date with emerging tools, practices, and technologies in DevOps and cloud engineering.
