Staff Mobile Engineer (Ionic Capacitor + Angular/TypeScript)

Location: Remote (mandatory overlap with 6 AM – 12 PM PST, i.e. until 10 PM Kyiv time)

About the Product

We are developing a cross-platform mobile application running on iOS, Android, and ChromeOS, built with Ionic Capacitor + Angular (TypeScript). The product is data-intensive, supporting online/offline modes, large local database operations, complex API integrations, and immersive media rendering (AR/3D).

This role requires technical leadership, ownership of critical areas, and strong collaboration with distributed teams (QA in the US, design, product stakeholders).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of cross-platform mobile apps.
• Build and optimize local databases, API integrations, and offline/online sync.
• Troubleshoot AR/3D rendering challenges across browsers and platforms.
• Collaborate with QA, designers, and stakeholders during core hours (6 AM – 12 PM PST).
• Ensure performance & scalability for large catalogs, high-volume images, and videos.
• Maintain code quality via testing, reviews, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership (documentation, mentoring, architecture decisions).
• Leverage AI tools for data processing and performance optimization.
• Research and prototype emerging technologies for future roadmap.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of mobile/cross-platform development.
• Proven track record with Ionic Capacitor + Angular/TypeScript apps at scale.
• Solid understanding of iOS/Android UX standards, hybrid security, performance tuning.
• Experience with local storage, offline sync, and heavy database operations.
• Exposure to AR/3D rendering and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Ability to take ownership of technical domains (e.g., database optimization across devices).
• Problem-solving mindset: resolve issues without over-engineering.
• Strong communicator, comfortable in distributed teams.

Requirements

• Cross-Platform Mobile Development (Ionic Capacitor + Angular/TypeScript): 5+ years
• Mobile Performance & Database Optimization (local storage, offline sync, APIs): 2+ years
• 3D/AR Functionality & Browser Compatibility: any hands-on experience is a plus
