Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Description

The overall project is designated for intelligent Fleet De-Carbonization based on an ambitious science-based idea targeting the achievement of net-zero emissions. The solution is planned to be a fully integrated software solution that can maximize efficiencies in both operational and energy supply management perspectives.
It will include research and design of:
– API connectivity between the Electric Charging Stations and Central system allowing bidirectional data exchange,
– UI solution allowing to monitor and configure Charging station,
– UI to manage the Depot with Charging stations,
– B2B solution and Back-office system allowing to reserve the Charging Station.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in delivering robust cloud solutions specifically tailored for Microsoft Azure, demonstrating proficiency in the following key areas:
• Compute, Network, Storage, Monitoring, and Security:
• Expertise in architecting and implementing solutions encompassing compute, network, storage, monitoring, and security aspects, ensuring comprehensive coverage of Azure’s capabilities.
• Microsoft Azure Cloud Services:
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with a wide array of Microsoft Azure cloud services, showcasing a profound understanding of their functionalities and optimal use cases.
• Azure DevSecOps:
• Proficiency in Azure DevSecOps practices, incorporating security seamlessly into the development and operations lifecycle, thereby ensuring the highest levels of data protection and compliance.
• Scripting and Automation:
• Strong scripting and programming skills, particularly in PowerShell and Bash, enabling the automation of intricate tasks and processes within Azure environments.
• CI/CD Tools Mastery:
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with leading CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, and others, facilitating streamlined and efficient software development pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Expertise:
• Proficiency in at least one IaC technology, including ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform, ensuring infrastructure provisioning and management is orchestrated seamlessly and reproducibly.
• Git and Branching Proficiency:
• A strong command of Git version control systems and branching strategies, ensuring collaborative and organized software development processes.
• Containerization and Orchestration:
• Hands-on experience and familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, enabling the efficient deployment and scaling of applications in Azure environments.

Azure Networking Solutions Planning and Management:
Specialized knowledge in planning, implementing, and managing Azure networking solutions, encompassing:
• Core Network Infrastructure:
• Proficiency in designing and managing the fundamental core network infrastructure within Azure, ensuring seamless connectivity and communication between resources.
• Application Delivery Services:
• Expertise in configuring and optimizing application delivery services to guarantee high availability, reliability, and performance for hosted applications.
• Private Access to Azure Services:
• Ability to establish secure and efficient private access mechanisms to Azure services, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring controlled access.
• Network Security:
• In-depth understanding and practical experience in implementing robust network security measures within Azure, safeguarding against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
• Optimizing the performance, resiliency, scale, and security of Azure networking solutions, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

 

Job responsibilities

Design and build high performance pipelines applying infrastructure-and-pipeline-as-a-code practices to assure software quality.

Release build & deploy, process automation and continuous integration for application development.

Work with CI and CD tools.

Maintain and update current scripts/tools to support evolving software and evaluate and develop new tools to support developers.

Work in close cooperation with other engineers to clarify questions regarding specifications, work processes, system design and quality assurance activities.

Build and maintain highly available systems.

Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.

Test system integrity, implement designs, application developments, and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.

Deploy product versions/updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise.

Perform the troubleshooting with the development team.

Adhere to the DevOps engineering team world’s best practices.
