Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Atlas Technica — the US-based MSP providing services in the hedge fund vertical. Founded in New York in 2016, and rapidly growing (twice a year) all along the way. These days comprises 200+ engineers and 10+ established offices in US, UK, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Singapore. 

We are looking for a DevOps engineer with expertise in AWS to join our Service team. The goal of this team is to design, implement and support public cloud solutions for our customers.
 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using best practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Terraform and Ansible
  • Implement a Kubernetes-based platform and migrate existing workloads to it.
  • Implement organization-wide logging, monitoring, and security solutions in a multi-account and multi-region AWS organization.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security controls.
  • Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and system upgrades.
  • Stay current with AWS services and industry best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders on AWS-related matters.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (3rd line, 1 weekend/month).

     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure in production environments (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM roles).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnetting, routing, and security groups.
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, IAM Identity Center and Control Tower managing multiple accounts.
  • Experience with automation scripts (Python, Groovy, or Bash) and tools for provisioning and configuration of AWS resources (Terraform).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Experience working with development, operations, and security teams to integrate AWS solutions into existing workflows and processes.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to different audiences.
  • Active certifications in AWS at least at the Associate level.
