Junior AQA Engineer (Java)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Strong Java Automation API Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java, experience in API testing using Rest Assured, and a willingness to learn and adapt to modern AI tools used in testing.
 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Rest Assured.
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Awareness of AI tools and their applications in testing (e.g., — AI-based test case generation, defect prediction, or automation enhancements).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • English — Upper-Intermediate
     

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automation tests.
  • Exposure to frontend testing frameworks or tools.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies in the testing domain.
     

Education and Experience:

  • 2 + years of experience in automation testing or a related role.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using Java and Rest Assured.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects with detailed documentation.
  • Stay updated on emerging AI tools and technologies relevant to automation testing and incorporate them into the testing process where applicable.
  • Assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing framework and processes.
  • Perform basic manual testing when required to validate edge cases or scenarios.
