Senior/Lead Automation Python QA Engineer

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in automation testing, with a strong emphasis on embedded device testing.
• Python knowledge.
• Experience with automation frameworks.
• Good to have experience working with embedded Linux platforms
• Experience with lab equipment (power supply, meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
• Experience in hardware automation, including the ability to interface with physical devices, sensors, and actuators.
• Experience in improving and maintaining the efficiency of the test process/tooling.
• Experience with setting up the automation testing framework from scratch.
• Understanding of electronics and experience with microcontrollers or similar hardware would be a plus.
• Analytical skills that aid in reaching product goals and quarterly outcomes​.
• Able to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
• Clarity in communication, both verbal and written.

Job responsibilities

• Define, maintain, code, and apply automated tests within the release cycle​
• Design, implement, and manage automation frameworks for testing both software applications and physical devices
• Identify, recommend, and document testing  strategies & standards
• Interface with physical devices and automated machines
• Perform manual testing if needed
• Continuously learn and apply industry best practices on modern software delivery practices​
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware and software integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish project and product objectives
