Backend JS Developer to $1500 Offline

We are looking for Backend JavaScript Developer
Weβre building a Language Learning Platform for African languages, combining AI and gamification to make learning engaging, accessible, and impactful.
Join a driven team of 5 people and help shape the future of language learning in underrepresented markets.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of hands-on industry experience
- Proven experience in Backend or full-stack development, building scalable end-to-end applications
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid proficiency in Node.js / Express.js / NestJS
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
- Understanding of backend API development, including both monolithic and microservice architectures
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and implementing basic authentication methods
- Ability to demonstrate previous projects through live websites and public repositories (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)
- Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setup
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Mid-sized and large-sized projects with a roadmap of minimum 3-4 months.
- Custom development only using JS and Python
- NO - Shopify, Wordpress, Landing pages, bug fixes and support phases.
- 80% in-house, 20% outstaff

- Clients primarily from the US (90%), as well as the UK and Germany
Hiring process:
Stage 1 - HR interview
Stage 2 - Tech. interview (30 minutes of technical questions + 30 minutes of life coding)
