Senior Node.js Developer
We’re looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join a team working on complex web applications for international partners. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently take ownership of the back-end architecture, mentor others, and drive technical decisions in collaboration with the team.
You’ll contribute to building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, working closely with front-end developers, DevOps, QA specialists, and business stakeholders. Your experience and proactive mindset will directly influence product success and team efficiency.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop reliable back-end services and APIs using Node.js
- Lead technical discussions and define best practices for the back-end team
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define solutions aligned with business goals
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Integrate third-party services and tools when needed
- Oversee CI/CD processes and suggest improvements to workflow automation
- Review code, guide developers, and support knowledge sharing across the team
- Drive improvements in performance, scalability, and infrastructure reliability
- Take part in roadmap planning, feature scoping, and estimation
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js in a production environment
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with modern frameworks like NestJS, Express, or similar
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, WebSockets, and Microservices
- Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid experience in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring developers
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative setting
- English — Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to Have
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Understanding of authentication protocols and security best practices
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g. React, Angular) is a plus
