Senior Python Engineer (Embedded) for a Hardware / Sensing Project

We're looking for an experienced Python engineer with experience of building software for embedded systems and sensors. Our company has established a set of long-term partnerships with U.S.-based startups. In this case, we are expanding several of our units with a main focus on our product in the building hardware / sensing space. You will work with a distributed team across PST, EST, and EEST (Kyiv) time zones. We expect that you will work in the EU time zone with occasional check-ins with the leadership in PST and EST time zones.
π― Requirements:
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2 minimum, but C1+ candidates with fluent English will have our preference);
- 5+ years of commercial Python dev experience (building Python-based software for hardware/sensing/IoT devices);
- Strong expertise with Linux and Docker;
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills;
- Experience of working in mid-size engineering teams;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or similar;
π₯ Would be a plus:
- Experience building apps for Raspberry Pi;
- Experience working with software-defined radios (i.e., Pluto SDR, Ant SDR, Ettus Research USRPs);
- Experience working with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure);
