Senior Python Developer

Newsoft is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a UK-based healthtech project that harnesses AI to transform raw health data from trackers and wearables into personalized insights. You’ll work with a modern backend stack (FastAPI, AWS, OpenAI API) and contribute to the development of new features and the expansion of existing ones. The product is in active development with a growing team and direct communication with the English-speaking client.

Requirements:

• 3+ year of commercial software development experience
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Experience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and OAuth
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows
• Understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID)
• Experience or basic knowledge of AWS services (especially Cognito, Lambda, ECS, RDS)
• Upper-intermediate level of English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React)
• Experience working with AI APIs like OpenAI
