Junior QA Engineer
We are looking for a Junior Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic tech team.
Project: A project in event management based in the United States.
Task: Manual testing of newly developed features across different parts of the platform - from backend APIs to frontend user interfaces. Ensure product quality, functionality, and stability throughout the development lifecycle.
Team: Full-stack .Net engineer, .Net engineer, Angular/React engineer, Manual QA, Mobile engineer (Flutter), DevOps, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, UI/UX designer.
Responsibilities:
Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
Identify, document, and track bugs and issues in the defect tracking system.
Validate backend API responses using tools like Postman or Swagger.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning, retrospective meetings.
Support regression, functional, UI, and smoke testing.
Assist in maintaining and updating test documentation.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in manual QA or relevant internship experience.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira
Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman or similar tools).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to details and a passion for quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher (to communicate with the international team).
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or final-year student).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with basic SQL queries.
Understanding of client-server architecture.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of mobile app testing is a plus.
