Full Stack Python Typescript Engineer to $3300

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Write and maintain full stack code using Django (Python) and React (Typescript) to meet technical requirements and design specifications
• Follow test-driven development practices and ensure automated tests are written for every feature, bug fix, or refactor
• Build, test, and deploy scalable web applications and APIs
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Monitor application health using tools like Grafana, and participate in performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Integrate and experiment with AI tools/APIs (e.g., OpenAI/ChatGPT) to enhance platform capabilities
• Document application architecture, code structure, and workflows
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices
• Stay up to date with modern frameworks, libraries, and best practices
   

Experience & Skills Required

• 2+ years of experience building web applications with Python and TypeScript
• Experience with AWS is preferred
• Experience with test frameworks like Pytest, Jest, or equivalent; belief in writing tests for every piece of logic
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent
• Exposure to AI technologies and APIs, especially OpenAI's ChatGPT API, is a plus
• Strong understanding of software development principles including OOP, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience using Git for version control (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Comfort with browser debugging tools like Chrome Developer Tools
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experience building and deploying at least 3 production-grade websites or applications (GitHub portfolio and/or live samples required)
• Prior experience in SEO or digital marketing is a plus
