Backend Node.js Developer
We are IdeaSoft’s Ethereum-focused R&D Department — a small, fast, and relentless team building new Web3 applications from zero to one. We ship fast, break things, validate ideas, and pivot quickly.
Now, we are looking for a Backend Developer (Node.js) who thrives in chaos, doesn’t need Jira to get things done, and loves building new products in the Ethereum ecosystem.
🛠 What You’ll Do
- Build backend logic for new Ethereum-based applications (Mini apps, DeFi, AI agents, etc.);
- Integrate on-chain and off-chain components: smart contracts, indexers, APIs, bots;
- Write fast and functional prototypes, iterate based on feedback, and push to production when needed;
- Deploy and manage infrastructure (we use Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.);
- Own what you build. If something breaks, you fix it.
🧠 Who You Are
- Solid experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and building REST/GraphQL APIs (usually NestJS);
- Comfortable with Ethereum/Web3 libraries (ethers.js, viem, etc.);
- Experience with smart contract integrations, event listening, or building indexers is a big plus;
- You’re fast. We don’t mean reckless. We mean you prefer to ship something in 2 days rather than perfect it for 2 weeks;
- You can work without Jira, PMs, or daily standups. You take responsibility and move;
- You’re resourceful, scrappy, and can Google your way through tough problems.
✅ Bonus Points
- You’ve shipped a Web3 product before (even a hackathon POC counts);
- Familiar with Uniswap V4, Farcaster, AI agents, session keys, or anything cutting-edge in Ethereum;
- You’ve contributed to open source or written technical articles.
🎯 What You Get
- Opportunity to work on bleeding-edge Ethereum R&D projects;
- Freedom to move fast, break things, and experiment
- Flat structure — direct feedback, no bureaucracy;
- Option to join us at hackathons like ETHGlobal;
- Fully remote or Lisbon-based;
Equity in products you help build — available depending on your involvement and performance.
