Tech Lead / Senior JavaScript Fullstack Developer (AI Experience Preferred)

UnitySpace is a digital product development company working with startups and scale-ups worldwide. We specialize in building high-performance platforms, AI-powered systems, and scalable web applications. We're expanding our core team and looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer with leadership skills and a passion for innovation.

Your Role

As a Tech Lead, you'll lead a small team of engineers, collaborate with product managers and designers, and architect complex fullstack solutions. You will be responsible not only for hands-on coding but also for mentoring the team and driving technical decisions. Experience with AI tools and APIs is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development on fullstack projects using JavaScript (NestJS + React/Angular)
• Define technical architecture, best practices, and project standards
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and mentoring
• Collaborate closely with designers, PMs, and clients
• Oversee and improve CI/CD, testing, and code quality
• Integrate third-party APIs and (optionally) AI services (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Vector DBs)

• Ensure delivery of scalable, maintainable, and secure systems

   

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript fullstack development
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express/NestJS, and a modern frontend framework (React/Angular)
• Solid understanding of REST API
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Comfortable leading a team and communicating with stakeholders
• Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher

   

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI APIs (OpenAI, Replicate, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
• Familiarity with building AI agents, vector search, or LangChain
• Previous startup or product development experience
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Hetzner, Vercel)
