Infrastructure Engineer (Azure / Windows)
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Azure / Windows) to join a new project team we’re building for our long-term U.S. SaaS partner.
Project Overview
The product is an HR & Payroll cloud platform serving thousands of mid-market companies. Everything runs on a Microsoft stack (Azure, Windows Server, .NET 6 micro-services, SQL Server, AKS). Your mission: keep the infrastructure rock-solid 24/7, push automation, and drive its evolution.
Responsibilities
- Own & optimise production infrastructure (Windows Server, Azure services, AKS) with a focus on high availability and performance.
- Build out IaC and CI/CD workflows using Terraform/Bicep, Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy.
- Write PowerShell/Python tooling for automated remediation and drift prevention.
- Monitor with Datadog and respond to incidents; take part in an on-call rota (~ 1 week every 6 weeks).
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, IT and engineering teams on hosting strategy and the rollout of new services.
Required Skills
- 5 + years administering Windows Server, networking and automation.
- 5 + years running production workloads in Microsoft Azure (VMs, VNet, Azure AD, PaaS).
- 3 + years hands-on PowerShell / Python scripting.
- 3 + years building CI/CD with Azure DevOps and/or Octopus Deploy.
- English: Upper-Intermediate — daily communication with the partner.
Nice to have: AKS/Kubernetes, Datadog, SQL Server or Azure SQL, Terraform/Bicep, leadership or mentoring experience.
We Offer
- Remote-first setup or a cosy office in Lviv, flexible hours, zero bureaucracy.
- 20 paid vacation days + 10 sick days.
- Certification budget (AZ-104/400/305) and regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Mentoring culture & flat structure — quick decisions, no red tape.
- On-call / overtime compensation.
- Real impact: you’ll be the first-line SRE for the entire product.
