Senior QAE (Python) Offline

We are looking for a Senior QAE to join our teams

Requirements:

- 4+ years of QA experience (manual and automated) with web-based, video, or content-rich products.

- Strong Python skills and experience with Pytest or Unittest frameworks.

- Deep understanding of the software testing lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

- Experience testing video or streaming platforms: adaptive bitrate, CDN issues, buffering, media codecs.

- Advanced skills in REST API, WebSocket, Webhook testing (Postman, Curl, or custom scripting).

- Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, or k6.

- Proficient in browser DevTools: network inspection, console logs, frontend/backend debugging.

- Confident with Git, branching strategies, and code review processes.

- Experience working with CMS systems or custom backend admin tools.

- English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher for technical and business communication.
 

Nice to have:

- Knowledge of WebRTC, RTMP, HLS, FFmpeg, or manifest structures (MPD, M3U8).

- Experience testing real-time data ingestion pipelines or backend media processing systems.

- Familiarity with observability tools: Grafana, Sentry, log inspection.

- Practical experience testing LLM-based systems, including prompt behavior validation, response consistency, and hallucination/error analysis.
 

Responsibilities:

- Own and drive end-to-end testing of a complex video streaming platform, ensuring high-quality delivery across ingestion pipelines, content management, and playback components.

- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites in Python (using Pytest or Unittest) for APIs, video workflows, and user-facing features.

- Conduct manual exploratory testing of web-based interfaces, streaming flows, and integrations — validating functionality, UX, performance, and edge cases.

- Test adaptive video delivery mechanisms, including bitrate switching, buffering behavior, and CDN fallback scenarios.

- Validate integrations with third-party services and external APIs, ensuring accurate data ingestion and consistent performance.

- Perform REST API, WebSocket, and Webhook testing using tools like Postman, Curl, or custom scripts.

- Run performance/load testing of streaming backends and APIs using tools like Locust, JMeter, or k6; simulate real-world traffic scenarios and analyze system stability.

- Debug and analyze network calls and media stream behavior using browser DevTools, player logs, and protocol traces.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to align QA strategy with evolving product requirements.

- Document and track issues clearly, providing reproducible steps, technical context, and priority indicators.

- Continuously improve test processes — introduce automation in CI/CD pipelines, reduce regression time, and increase coverage across critical paths.

- Participate in all Agile ceremonies, contributing QA insights during planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives.

- Maintain structured and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, cases, and traceability matrices.
