QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies for entire systems.
• Oversee and ensure the quality of test plans, test cases, test matrices, and bug reporting.
• Document, implement, and execute test cases for Magpie backend and frontend application.
• Design, plan, execute, monitor, and continuously improve test cases for backend and frontend systems.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Log all bugs in Jira and immediately escalate critical issues to the engineering team.
• Write and maintain automated end-to-end tests for backend and frontend systems.
• Develop functional tests for both backend and frontend components to ensure proper system behavior.
• Perform thorough manual testing of products to identify and address defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product manager to understand requirements and provide feedback.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in a QA role.
• Experience in functional testing, release regression testing and test automation.
• Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in writing test cases using at least one programming language.

Preferred Skills

• Thorough understanding of dApps, including wallet connections, executing functions on dApps, trading, and a fundamental knowledge of AMMs and aggregators.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
