Node.js Developer to $1800

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express, NestJS).
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following best practices.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Optimize and interact with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) – complex queries, indexing, performance tuning.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Maintain and improve technical documentation.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior developers.

   

Requirements:

Education/Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js in production environments.

   

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with Express.js (NestJS is a plus).
• Deep understanding of REST API design and best practices.
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL/MySQL) – query optimization, transactions, schema design.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

   

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
