C#/MAUI Developer
Being an independent software developer and publisher, Airlab is a sister company to Ubisoft, Guillemot Corporation, and Longtail Studios. We are looking for an exceptional and talented cross-platform C#/MAUI developer to join our outstanding team.
About the Project
You’ll be part of the core development team behind a new social networking application aimed at connecting niche communities with meaningful, high-quality interaction. The app will support personalized feeds, rich media sharing, real-time messaging, and user-driven content discovery.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a cross-platform application using .NET MAUI, targeting Android, iOS, and Web (via Blazor or hybrid web view).
- Implement core social features such as user profiles, feeds, chat/messaging, notifications, and media sharing.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to bring polished and engaging interfaces to life across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Integrate with real-time back-end services, such as chat servers, push notifications, and RESTful APIs.
- Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and seamless user experiences on all platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, bug fixing, and continuous improvements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with C# development and a solid grasp of .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms.
- Strong knowledge of MVVM architecture, data binding, and dependency injection.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, WebSockets for real-time data, and local storage (e.g., SQLite, Preferences).
- Familiarity with handling media (image/video) uploads and previews within mobile apps.
- Knowledge of the target platform’s app lifecycle, permission handling, and background services.
- Proficiency in Visual Studio/Rider, Git, and collaborative tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to think from a user’s perspective and make UI/UX-centered decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or contributing to social networking or messaging apps.
- Familiarity with Blazor Hybrid for web development.
- Knowledge of push notifications, authentication flows, and media processing.
- Experience with platform-specific code and native feature integration.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and responsive UI across different screen sizes and platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployment (App Store, Google Play).
- Understanding of privacy, security, and data protection concerns relevant to social platforms.
