Weβre looking for a highly motivated Sales/Presales Engineer with strong technical expertise in networking hardware and protocols, and a passion for customer engagement, to join our growing team.
Job Summary
As a Sales/Presales Engineer/Manager, you will be a key technical liaison between our clients and internal teams. You will support the full sales lifecycle for networking hardware (e.g., Ethernet switches) and/or associated software projects. This includes qualifying opportunities, gathering technical requirements, preparing solution proposals, and collaborating with R&D and product teams to deliver tailored solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong networking background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business.
Key Responsibilities
Presales Support & Client Engagement
Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand technical and business requirements.
Present tailored solutions that address client challenges, leveraging company hardware/software capabilities.
Participate in technical product demonstrations and workshops.
Provide input on competitive positioning and differentiation.
Solution Design & Collaboration
Translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
Work closely with R&D and product teams to assess feasibility and define project scope.
Support the definition of technical deliverables, costs, and project timelines.
Proposal Development
Contribute to the creation of commercial proposals in collaboration with the VP of Business Development.
Provide accurate cost estimates and risk analysis for project scoping.
Assist in preparing RFP/RFI responses and other customer documentation.
Sales Enablement & Support
Support the sales team with technical training and collateral.
Coordinate post-sales activities, including onboarding and handoff to support teams.
Review and contribute to technical documentation.
Market Insight & Evangelism
Conduct ongoing competitor and market analysis.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings globally.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Expertise
Deep understanding of networking hardware (switches, transceivers, NICs) and protocols.
Proficient in L2 switching, routing, VLANs, STP, link aggregation, and network design principles.
Familiarity with network virtualization, and Ethernet switching silicon vendors (Marvell, etc.) is a plus.
Communication & Business Acumen
Fluent in English (written and spoken) for high-level customer and internal communication.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in B2B enterprise IT or telecom environments is highly preferred.
Additional Skills
Experience with product demos, technical sales presentations, and proposal writing.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Willingness to travel internationally for customer visits and trade shows.
Nice to Have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
3+ years of experience in a sales engineering, presales, or solution architect role.
Familiarity with Linux networking, CLI, and test tools (e.g., Wireshark, iPerf, etc.).
Experience with CRM systems, project estimation tools, and collaboration platforms.
