Angular/Ionic Developer

We’re looking for a skilled Angular/Ionic Developer to help support and upgrade a mobile app we’ve built from scratch over the last 1.5 years. The project is live and used in the Australian market. The main focus is on updating the app to comply with the latest Android requirements.

You’ll join a small, focused team that works remotely and asynchronously — minimal meetings, flexible hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Update the app to target Android 14 (API level 34)
• Remove unnecessary permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO) from all app version codes
• Set up internal/closed/open testing and publish a new release to Google Play
• Ensure smooth integration with the backend (Node.js, Docker)
• Fix bugs and make small improvements as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year experience with Angular and Ionic
• Solid understanding of Android app publishing and permission models
• Basic experience with Node.js and Docker
• Responsible, self-driven, and comfortable working remotely without daily check-ins
• Bonus: experience working with Play Store compliance or Android SDK updates
