Job Title: QA Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our tech team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cross-platform short-term rental platform, which includes web portals, mobile apps, smart lock integrations, and third-party OTA channels.

You’ll be responsible for validating complex user flows, identifying bugs before our users do, and maintaining high standards of functional, UI, API, and performance testing across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test cases, checklists, and test plans based on product requirements and user stories.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and UI testing across mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
• Validate booking workflows, user authentication, BLE/smart lock flows, and third-party integrations (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com).

Automation (if applicable)

• Support the setup and maintenance of test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Detox, Appium).
• Contribute to automated regression suites for web or mobile as the project matures.

🐛 Bug Reporting & Documentation

• Reproduce, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or ClickUp.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify, verify, and retest fixes efficiently.

🤝 Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, story reviews, and daily standups with product and tech teams.
• Provide input on edge cases, usability issues, and potential system bottlenecks.
• Help ensure release readiness by signing off on staging builds.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer (or QA Automation Engineer with manual testing background).
• Experience testing web apps, mobile apps, or cross-platform products.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and bug tracking tools (Jira, Trello).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, QA best practices, and bug lifecycles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think like a user.
• English proficiency sufficient for writing test cases, tickets, and product communication.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing smart lock or IoT workflows.
• Familiarity with OTA integrations (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com, PMS).
• Experience with test automation tools (Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Selenium).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and QA’s role in deployment.
