About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Engineer specializing in MongoDB to join a project for a leading American multinational payment card services corporation.

Your primary focus will be the migration of databases from Cardinal Data Centers, which demands solid expertise in cross-data center replication.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in database engineering with a strong focus on MongoDB.
• At least 5–6 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Proven experience with cross-data center replication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into database architecture and design.
• Evaluate, refine, and model database requirements.
• Conduct capacity planning and workload analysis across database technologies.
• Create and manage database tables and implement changes in line with release cycles.
• Manage database access, permissions, and security.
• Write stored procedures and scripts to support application functionality.
• Perform database performance testing, tuning, and troubleshooting post-release issues.
• Review code and approve database change requests.
• Generate reports and conduct database analysis.
• Handle data cleansing, purging, archiving, and TTL management.
• Respond to database incidents and ensure service restoration.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, auditing, and security patches.
• Support current infrastructure and assist in new architecture planning.
• Develop and test database recovery and disaster recovery strategies.
• Continuously improve database performance and availability.

Must-Have Skills:

• MongoDB expertise.
• Experience migrating databases from Cardinal Data Centers.
• Strong leadership skills to manage end-to-end development processes, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables aligned with architectural standards.
