Tech Lead Full-Stack (Blockchain Wallet) Offline

Client/Project:
The client is an Israel-based company. The project is a cutting-edge non-custodial wallet platform designed for seamless onboarding, secure transactions, and user-friendly blockchain interaction. It supports:

• Account Abstraction (AA)
• OAuth, biometrics & passkey-based onboarding
• Cross-chain support
• Flexible recovery options
• Gas-efficient smart contract operations

This role requires a strong technical leader with hands-on experience in non-custodial wallet development and secure Web3 architecture. The person will contribute both as an individual contributor and technical lead, defining the architecture, writing production-grade code, and ensuring the implementation of core wallet operations (send, receive, swap). The ideal candidate should guide engineering direction, enforce best practices (unit tests, code reviews, CI/CD), maintain sprint discipline, and act as the primary point of contact with the team for technical coordination.

Location requirements: Europe.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in blockchain wallet and infrastructure development;
• Proven experience in non-custodial wallet creation and management;
• Hands-on implementation of:
  • Send/receive/swap flows
  • Account Abstraction (ERC-4337) and EOA support
  • OAuth2 onboarding (Google/Apple), biometric, and passkey flows
  • Multi-sig and social recovery mechanisms
  • Fiat on/off ramps, token swaps, and gas abstraction
• Deep understanding of Web3 technologies and the Ethereum ecosystem;
• Proficient in Node.js, React, React Native;
• Strong knowledge of:
  • DeFi primitives, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-4337)
  • Cryptographic tools and libraries (bip39, bip32, bitcoinjs-lib, libsodium, NaCl, OpenSSL)
• Familiar with GDPR, privacy-by-design, and compliance-grade infrastructure;
• Experience with secure enclaves, mobile key storage, and secrets management (Vault, AWS KMS);
• Effective communicator in English, capable of leading sprint ceremonies and interfacing with stakeholders;
• Experience delivering regulated or financial-grade blockchain systems.

Nice to have:

• Prior contributions to open-source wallet libraries or Web3 tools;
• Experience in secure enclave integration on iOS/Android platforms;
• Exposure to staking, governance, and cross-chain bridges.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership while contributing hands-on development using Node.js, React, and React Native;
• Define and evolve the architecture for the non-custodial wallet;
• Design and implement core wallet functionality: onboarding, send, receive, and swap operations;
• Integrate secure onboarding flows using OAuth (Google/Apple), biometrics, and passkeys;
• Design secure recovery mechanisms for the non-custodial wallet;
• Collaborate with the blockchain team, specifying integration details and communicating blockers;
• Conduct and oversee code reviews, maintain code quality standards, and lead testing practices (init tests, test coverage);
• Ensure GDPR compliance and implement privacy-by-design principles;
• Oversee the integration and coexistence of Account Abstraction (AA) and Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs);
• Maintain best practices in secure key management, encryption, and access control;
• Guide sprint planning, ensure commitment delivery, and act as a technical role model for the team;
• Support presales, solution design, and estimation activities related to new blockchain opportunities.
