About Us
Maison Commerce is an international agency specializing in Shopify landing page and product page design and development. We help Shopify brands boost their conversions through CRO-first strategies and custom theme development. Our team collaborates remotely across the globe, delivering high-quality, high-performance websites for DTC brands.
The Role
We’re looking for a freelance QA Engineer to join our team and help us ensure our Shopify websites and landing pages are functioning flawlessly and match the provided designs across all devices and browsers.
You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and the project manager to test new features and updates before launch. Your job will be to identify bugs, UI inconsistencies, and functionality issues, and document them clearly in ClickUp.
Responsibilities
- Manually test Shopify storefronts (landing pages, product pages, features)
- Verify visual accuracy against design files (Figma)
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Report bugs and inconsistencies in ClickUp with clear reproduction steps and visual references
- Collaborate with the team to validate fixes and re-test resolved issues
- Suggest UX or performance improvements when applicable
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in manual QA (preferably in a digital agency or e-commerce environment)
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for pixel-perfect UI
- Experience working with design tools like Figma
- Comfortable using ClickUp (or similar tools like Jira, Trello, Asana)
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (enough to identify layout issues)
- English level: Intermediate or higher (you’ll write bug reports and communicate with international team members)
- Reliable and self-organized, able to work independently
Nice to Have
- Experience testing Shopify or other e-commerce platforms
- Familiarity with QA browser tools (BrowserStack, Responsively, etc.)
- UX/UI awareness to help identify usability issues
Compensation & Growth
- Freelance role
- $8–$12 USD per hour, based on experience
- Estimated workload: 15–20 hours/week, with potential to scale
- Remote work with flexible hours
- Opportunity to grow into a full-time QA Lead role as the team expands
