Lead Server Developer (Node.js, Firebase, GCP)

About the Project

At Come On Software we’re building great software solutions. We're looking for an experienced Lead Server Developer to take ownership of our backend architecture and lead a small team of engineers in scaling a robust, high-performance cloud system.

Tech Stack You'll Work With

• Node.js and TypeScript (expert level)
• Firebase, Firestore, Cloud Functions
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)
• (Bonus: Azure, Elasticsearch)

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs
• Architect efficient data models and optimize performance in Firestore
• Build and maintain Cloud Functions to power backend logic
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with frontend teams, product managers, and QA
• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers
• Conduct code reviews and drive best engineering practices

• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability

   

✅ Requirements

• 6+ years of backend/server-side development experience
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js (Python is a plus)
• Proven experience with Firebase, Firestore, and Cloud Functions
• Solid experience with GCP and cloud architecture
• Familiarity with testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD
• Leadership experience: mentoring, team guidance, code quality control
• Upper-intermediate English (or higher)

💡 Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure or multi-cloud environments
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch

• Background in performance tuning and scalable API design
