Full Stack Engineer - Java, React + AWS, International EdTech Product Offline

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Java) to join our international team and contribute to a large-scale, cloud-based digital assessment platform. 

Used by educational and government institutions worldwide, the platform covers the full exam lifecycle: from authoring and delivery to grading and feedback. 

Our mission is to make assessments more fair, inclusive, and secure.

Must have:

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong backend skills: REST APIs, Elasticsearch, SQL
• Solid experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle DB), including optimization
• Experience in front-end development with React.js, Redux, and JavaScript
• Proven knowledge of AWS: EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, CloudWatch, SQS
• Strong Git skills and experience in agile teams (Scrum or Kanban)

Nice to have:

• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge
• Testing with Puppeteer, Chai, Mocha
• CSS libraries (e.g., Material UI)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services
• Create performant SQL queries and database logic (procedures, indexing, optimization)
• Develop responsive React.js components and connect them with backend systems
• Work closely with AWS infrastructure and microservices
• Implement front-end testing, ensure accessibility and performance
• Lead code reviews and help mentor junior developers
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and architecture improvements
